I've never seen Sunny In Philadelphia, but I like Dee.

And it's like Dean was just waiting for Sam, like maybe he wants the same thing, but is afraid to say? So he goes after women because he knows they won't say no and bruise his ego. But maybe Sam leaving the bar with someone showed Dean a light, and maybe he thought he'd finally lost Sam so he got completely blitzed in his sadness. (that's just where my heart went at that last scene)

It's Sunny in Philadelphia isn't a show I thought I'd like, it just seemed so crass and crude, and it is, but it's hilarious, witty and surprisingly touching. The characters are just awful awful people, you wouldn't want to know them, so I really didn't get Dee quite right here, on the show she probably would have yelled something terrible at Sam and kicked him out. But sometimes, she shows a human side, which I adore, because she's a very damaged person, and maybe that came out here in the story.

Yep, Dean was waiting for Sam, and can't say anything to him, because this is set at that particular time in season 8. After Dean had spilled his heart out in Heartache, and Sam hadn't responded in kind to him. And yeah he was definitely drunk because of that sadness over losing his chance with Sam.
