Because the grass grows tall here
And cuts our ankles
We run faster
And fall down
Foothills, faster into dirt
Into Mud
We run and gasp at treetops
At spirits
At the ever-decending sky

And when the forest 
Consumes us
We will meet at half past
Every whisper
And run until these spirits leave us
And we are left gasping 
Only for breath.
