I have a whole house to myself for now and till i'm bank rupt. its fantastic, I don't understand people who can't be alone. being alone is fantastic, "if you can't do something alone than whats the point?" singularity makes us strong stop running for open arms and close yours! grow as a person not a group ( Read more... )

Others would argue that without the involvement of other people in our lives, growth is stunted. Being alone, being able to please yourself - being able to stand on your own two feet and be contented with who you are is important, very important, but so is being able to fit in with others, being able to interact with others and being able to conduct yourself in a way as to learn and grow from relationships with others. There is no such thing as "one way or another" - it is important to be able to strike a medium between the two.

We live in a society that is so highly based on the interaction with others that I think people end up looking for who they are in other people and end up depending on social interactions rather than themselves. Of course we need both but by golly even with closed arms I think you'll find your doses of other people will always be high.
