Ingress' 10th Birthday Party Extravaganza!

Out by the lake, there is a large construction dedicated to the 10th birthday of Lady Ingress of the House of Arch. Ingress has had birthday parties on this site before - there was a birthday princess ball her 7th year, a playground party for her 6th.

Hedge Maze

Enter through a stone archway decorated with streamers, balloons, and a banner that reads, "Happy Birthday, Ingress". The walls might shift on you, but this maze is designed for a gentle stroll, not a vexing challenge.

Ingress runs past her and then turns around, having noticed her teacher a little late.

"Hi, Zhaan! I'm so glad you could come to my party. Oh, watch out, this one's going to move."

The hedge shifts over to open a new way into the middle of the maze.

"Tom made sure it does that, but it only leads you to shortcuts to get you through to the party."

"Tom said there are lots like this in Wizarding England. I don't know if there are any in London Below, but I bet there are."

They would be a good sight scarier than this one!

"Do you like cake? We have a big one and three different kinds of ice cream."

"Oh, see, it let us have a glimpse of the clearing before it closed. That means we're almost there. I like ice cream. We have chocolate, strawberry, and pistachio because green ice cream is cool."

"Yes, we made it! I've been through a few times already. I'm starting to know all the shifts."

"No, you can sit and talk to other grown ups, or you can try the bouncy castle. It's big enough for grown ups!"

The thought of her elegant teacher in the bouncy castle makes her giggle.

"I do! And thank you for the present. I'll open it later and then write thank you notes."

She gives Zhaan a hug and then waves as she hurries off.

"Have fun, and eat all the ice cream you want!"

X opts for the hedge maze, as the bouncy castle is too easily punctured and the obstacle course is not practical.

It helps that she has a head for maps.

Ingress runs around a corner and stops short to keep from running into her.

"Oh, yay, Laura! I'm glad you're here!"
