yeah it's tempting to think that the world as we know it will end soon. since we feel, some what justifiably so, that we're so separate from the past, a future is hard to imagine.
but apocalyptic worldviews are as old as dirt and consistently proved wrong. probably we'll just get greener as we have to, and live in a dirty world. maybe a few more 911's, but big deal that's like a twig on the redwood of humanity.

thinking it will all end abrubtly is just too optimistic.

oh, dan i just read an issue of adbusters and according to it you're right.
and that seems like an insult, but i don't mean it to be, it's just the truth.
it was kinda scary reading, i admit. i liked this article about our generation and how we don't have anything to protest about. its kind of true our parents and everybody just want us to be happy, however we do it. and so do we.
