As she sat down on her bed with the card in her hand she couldn’t stop the tears running down her cheeks.
She had always loved flowers.

As a little girl, the wallpaper in her room had been covered with daisies and grain flowers.

When she grew up people started to compare her to a flower, an exotic flower like an orchid because of her hair and eyes.
She felt proud of it, because it meant that people thought that she was beautiful.

Lex bought her flowers,
Red roses as a symbol of his love, Lillies-of-the-valley as a symbol for eternal happiness, Anemones to prove his unfading love.

She loved all the flowers he gave her, but looking around her bedroom and re-reading the card in her hand she knew she had a secret that she would never revile to him.

Her bedroom was cowered in poinsettias.
They were standing on every surface in the room, and they made Lana cry, because the poinsettia was her favorite flower, and only one person in the world knew that secret.
