Need to get started with the angsty-teen-romance I'm supposed to be writing. Plan is to write down the plot outline tomorrow and start with the writing on Monday. Problem is there's a 40,000 word limit on the entire story line, and it's to be written in installments of 10,000 words, with each installment ending in a cliffhanger for the next one. As I age, I find I grow less and less tolerant of fictional teenagers. I can barely stand watching them on television, I think I would chop off a hand before writing 40,000 words about them, especially the angsty romantic variety. What on earth are they doing to you there?

Oh, there's not that much angsty romance. It's more Harry-Potter-self-discovery-esque with a Neil Gaiman-like twist than anything that begins to approach Twilight. I just call it "angsty" because it's what they think they want. And it's a lot more interesting than writing erotica.
