When Jessica offered to take care of Jack, with that whole explanation she gave him, I thought it was very clear both how much she admired Hotch as a man and how much she wanted to make it better for both of them (Hotch and Jack), as well as soothing her own loss by looking after her sister's child. Then I thought, she's so understanding, and so nurturing... and she looks so much like Haley ( ... )

I saw it when she was talking to him. Not the sex so much as the fact that she understood exactly what he was about and she did admire him/care for him. And since I didn't see Haley's parents then I have to assume that Hotch and Jessica were the two people closest to Haley. Them coming together in their grief is just...logical.

This is such a thoughtful piece.

It's scientifically documented that people often seek comfort through sex after the death of a peer or someone younger. This is very powerful and very realistic and you portrayed it with empathy and compassion. Wonderful work.

This was wonderful and touching and intense and ...totally believable. They're both hurting and trying to adjust to the myriad ways their lives have changed. Very nicely done, and, IMHO, totally in character from what we've seen of them in the show. Thanks for sharing this with us!

This is raw and tragic and honest and hot and very real. An excellent depiction of both of them, I think, and their need to let go. Well done.

This is such a remarkable ficlet. Very insightful, emotional and pure. Poignant. It´s such a believable and comprehensible "reaction - action" of both protagonists you put down here and in so wonderful, mature and complete words again. Perfect.
Your writing impresses me more and more.
