domination is the name of the game

So, I've decided that most of my writing needs to be done at 4 AM. That is all.

I have 2 poems for you all. Read, comment, eat (but share, odakota_rose, I know your kind), just don't steal them and claim as your own. That will make me roar and growl and not be a very nice person to you ( Read more... )

Now honestly Sherry, would I eat them all and not share? *innocent shifty eyes*

Insomnia is Underrated is one of my favorites- ever.
I feel like I know the song in there too, I just can't quite catch it right now. Maybe after I have another coffee, hehe.

You would. Like I said, I know your type.

Thank you. :) The best poetry comes from real life, and that was what was going on last night with me trying to sleep. It actually was 4:01 when I started writing it, and all the stuff in the poem was stuff that was happening.

Oh ho ho, you think you know, but you have no idea.

Hmmph.

Real poetry is sometimes the best kind. I figured it was probably your diary of last night, hehe.

:P

Oh, it was. Not "grandma was a poker player," though the main character of that poem does remind me of someone. Who is it? You should know...

Eddie Vedder sings the Frank Sinatra songbook?

I got one for you:

'A pestle to wassail my ailments while whistling in a pail of pale excrement'

Ahem...(clearing my throat)/

Oh ho, you think you are smart.

And that poem. I love that it's random, but makes complete sense. Best thing ever.

Thank you! A bunch of people have said that, and it's probably because it's so relatable.

I know it's this line that you're talking about: her smile reminds you of an elderly woman behind the counter in a small town, but I don't know who it's from. Bon Jovi or something?

But gorgeous poems as always. I seriously don't think I have something new to say, they're just so gorgeous. Great flow of sentences!

Yeah, that is the right line. Not the right artist, but yeah.

Thank you! Not to sound like I think I'm that great or anything, but I know how you feel. Eventually when you're reading the same person's work for a long time, you run out of new things to say. That's why I always try to comment on specific parts of the poem or whatever that I liked, because then they know what really worked. Not that you have to do that or anything, but yeah. That's just what I do.
