I love Rufus. I have every album....he's just incredible, isn't he?

He's amazing. I just started listening to him more recently and I just love his voice. Like I said, I feel like I'm in France or something just listening to him. He has such an interesting tone to his voice.

I remember when Poses first came out, I was in high school. I walked to the store and bought it based on "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk" alone...and I felt so special, like I'd discovered something. No one else I knew listened to Rufus, and mostly...they still don't.

I love music that feels like discovery.

And his music has always transported me too. I love that feeling as well.

That's what I love about most of the music I listen to - my friends here don't listen to it. But yes, "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk" is such a gorgeous song. Love it.

But yeah, I guess I've always felt that way about Tori, b/c most of the people I know, not counting people online, don't listen to her! It's sad, really. But I'm always converting the right people. (You can't have just anyone listening to Tori. It has to be someone with the right mentality.) And I love finding random tiny bands or singers on MySpace or through last.fm or whatever and telling people I love them and they're like, who's that? It's a great feeling. I feel like that about Melissa McClelland.
