I take no issue at all with his choice, either. While a hard decision to make he clearly did it with full knowledge and understanding of what it would mean for himself and those who cared for him.

I do believe there are cases where euthanasia is acceptable. Quality of life, without it, why life anymore? I've dealt with this on a very personal level, having ridden in a squad car home to a house full of saddened family. It's not a decision to be made lightly, and I'm sure he knew what he was doing.

Do what you love while ya still can.

I have a hard time replying to comments in this or other threads marking his passing. Without question he fully thought through his options and weighed them before coming to the conclusion that what he had in front of him wasn't the kind of life he wanted to live. I respect his choice.
