Volunteers and Moderators

Thanks for being so patient, everyone.

Sadly, only two people posted nominations for the month of March so seniumboy and I have decided to scrap them. Senium has sadly decided to give up the post of Awards Moderator due to real life commitments. I would like to thank Senium for all that he has done for this community over the years ( Read more... )

modly post, nominations

If you need help, I would be willing to step into whatever capacity you need. Just let me know :)

As for May/June/July I almost think it's a better idea to just scrap the voting etc. and start fresh. That way we can just go ahead and kick off the new process and shoot some rebirth into this comm (because it's one of my faves and I hate that it's been so dead :X)

That being said maybe a comprimise would be that those who did submit can resubmit those same fics (once per fic) for future challenges - granted of course the fic fits into the guidelines, but with broader fics that shouldn't be too hard. Just an idea :)

I think the resubmitting is a good idea. Will we keep the voting but leave out the nominations in the future?

What exactly would co-moderation entail? I'd love to help, but I need to know how much time will be required so that I can realistically say whether I can do it or not.

And most importantly: thanks for still being around and caring about this place. <3

Basically, all submissions would be automatically up for awards. :)

I was thinking we could do bi-weekly themes, what do you think?

Bi-weekly themes sounds good: there's still plenty to write, but no risk of an overload. So yes, good idea!

I haven't been able to contribute here for a while, but I am still interested in this comm!! I think the theme a week might be good to try. Adding new prompts would be cool too, like lines/situation that the story has to start with or something.

Alas, my graphics skills are crap DX

I like laced_victorian's idea of scraping and resubmitting. I alas am swamped with work and scantilation cleaning, so I could not take up a mod position. I am willing to write when I have a moment though.
