What great pictures - we need to come visit sometime!

And I love the duck! My mom and aunt had a duck growing up, it was named Louise and they'd fill the bathtub every now and then for her to paddle around in!

Yup, the duck definitely attracted attention to the accordian player. And as for the "disguise" -- I think Madeleine wore it just so she could take a walk in peace, without having to stop and have conversations every minute. Her phone number is listed in the book, for example. When we lived in Burlington, and she was governor, we'd occasionally see her at the supermarket and the movies.
