I think the more appropriate word would be "downfall" instead of "deposition."

When we read "deposition" we tend to think of the law/legal term instead =)
(the giving of testimony under oath.)

I thought "deposition" was used for Kings or Political... Isn't it right at all?

By straight dictionary definition, one of the meanings is "removal from an office or position." But for the most part the first thing that came to mind for an English speaker is the legal term =3

For example, when we encounter the word "gay," we automatically think "homosexual" instead of "happy; carefree."

Using "deposition" there is not wrong, but it's an awkward word choice.

Does that make sense?

Oh okay! Thanks a lot! I'm perfectly understand what you meant^^
So it is wrong but a native speaker wouldn't have chose that word!^^
You know "gay" and "gaie" would certainly be the same for a French speaker! xD
