I really couldn't get into the Anne novels, but have you read her Emily trilogy? it's a somewhat autobiographical trilogy about a little girl named Emily who just HAS to write. It takes her up through about 25 or so. very good reads. Emily of New Moon, Emily Climbs, Emily's Quest.
wow. YOU are coveting SHOES?? Who are you and what did you do with my sister? lol. awesome. But them. You looked so cute in your picture posts lately too.
So you're reading ALL of Anne, huh? I can't ever do it. I've read through House of Dreams and then I have to stop because Anne is getting old. I can't read about Anne getting old until I'm ready to be old myself. And yes, I know they're just books, but still. If I don't read them, she remains young.
Have you read any or all of Jane Austen's books? They really are fabulous. I read I think all of them here. I can't remember what's my favorite. Maybe Sense and Sensibility. It's really quite excellent. Or you should read "light house" by William Monahan. Very absurd but very funny.
ahh see, I'm okay with Anne getting "old" cuz she never quite grows up. and her children are wonderful!
I need to read some Jane Austen, I hear great thigns about her books, and though we had to read "Pride and Predjuice" back in high school, I was my usual slacker self and didn't read it so...
next time I'm at the library I shall hunt them down!
