hannah montana, really?

There was a guy trying to scalp tickets to the Hannah Montana concert at Liam's school yesterday. I mean, at least he knows his audience, but really? Scalping tickets at an elementary school? Well, it is Vegas.

My parents came over to torture visit me yesterday. As expected, they had lots of bad news for me and wanted to fix dinner for thirty ( Read more... )

Ollie? That's a boy's name. (I mean, it's a boy's name from the 19th century for orphans).

Blake Berris appeared in an episode of Hannah Montana.

It is! And Lee-Lee is a girl. It's like my parents can't tell the differences in the genders. I joke, but I did get the male spelling of Stacy so... maybe it's true!

Also, I knew that about Blake. I also knew that you would know that. :P

It's funny how that works huh? Seems like no matter what we do there's never enough time. Too bad we don't have Hiro's ability so we can hit the pause button and get our to-do list out of the way.

AS far as the 'rents go, I'd let them know that the kids aren't gonna appreciate those nicknames as they get older. They'll get enough people butchering their name when they're in school they don't need it from family too.

Hope that works.LOL

That would be so great. I could get everything caught up in a blink of an eye...

My parents and my kids names... it's really crazy. It goes back to when I first named my son and they didn't like the name... it's really a long, boring story, but they feel like, as the grandparents, they should have some say in everything. And, I just don't. :P

I agree with you. Far as I'm concerned your mom pushed you out, she gets a say about all things you until you start supporting yourself. You pushed your kids out, the grandparents get no say at all about the grandkids unless you, the mom, says so. House rules.LOL

Why do all the work and get none of the benefits. They're your kids, you get to name them, period.

It's really awful, but way back during my first pregnancy, when my parents still really thought that "we'd" be raising my child together, they'd objected to the name I'd chosen. So, as firmly as I could, I told them that if they really wanted to name a child, they should have another one, because I was naming mine.

I'm not proud (but I was like 8 months pregnant and they wouldn't let it go), but I'm glad I stood up for myself. However, that is the defining moment of when things started to go wrong with me and my parents. Over a baby name. So insane!
