AHHHHHHH.

I am so glad you stuck with this and didn't ditch it. This is wonderful and beautiful. It's so cyclical like them, very much them and how they gravitate back. And I love what you did with Donna in this too.

AND THAT ENDING. HOLY SHIT.

I feel like this is what happens with every fic I have ever written -- I write three scenes and then let it sit on my hard drive for a few months, only to vomit out another 2,000 words and call it a day. But, like, seriously, it's rare that I even attempt TWW fic, so I knew I had to finish this. Now to finish the other 3,500 words of it that I have hanging around here somewhere.

That ending was completely off-the-cuff/unplanned/etc. I came up with it on my ridic commute home this afternoon and wrote it in twenty minutes. Thank god for being able to zone out with my headphones for over an hour; it does wonders for my muse.

Basically, you are amazing and wonderful and a whole host of other adjectives and thank you so much for being encouraging and for reading this ♥ ♥ ♥

*sigh* Oh, Joshua. What are we gonna do with you? Lol.

But I love this. It's very them. I like how much you worked in without it feeling too much or untrue. Sam, Toby, Donna, Santos, all of it falls into place like it just *is*. Very well done! :)

My worst fear with this was having it come off too heavy-handed, so thank you for basically allaying those fears. I've never written either of these two before, so it was certainly an adventure.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! Thank you for reading and reviewing!

I haven't actually seen S6-S7 and S5 is frankly fuzzy, but I love the way you write Josh and Amy here - I could completely see them there delivering your lines.

he doesn’t sit there pretending that the part of him that finds her unbelievably frustrating isn’t the same part of him that wants to take her up against that wall and kiss her quiet

Yep, that pretty much sums it up! An exhilarating ride, those two, as long as you don't get caught in the crossfire.

I think S5 is fuzzy for everyone -- not it's finest moment. Hopefully this didn't spoil a bunch of stuff for you though. I really love the dynamic between these two, and that line you picked out is especially indicative of why.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! Thank you for reading and reviewing!

I was definitely going for an older, more jaded feel here. It does suit the later seasons for sure and I would imagine the political game would wear you down, even for people like them. Maybe especially.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Good lord do I love this!
I love the way it goes back and forth between the past and present. I also really love the way you've written Josh and Donna in this. Cuz as much as I did ship them, you make it beautifully clear why he actually would be better off with Amy (as much as either of them can be "with" someone).
Also? The dialogue is killer. Especially in that first section. Damn
♥ this!
♥ you!

I love Josh/Donna, I really do. But I also really dislike the happy ending they got because I don't think it fits at all. He is essentially the same person as he was at the beginning, it's only really Donna who changed significantly, and it's very much 'if you do what you always did, then you get what you always got'. I have a lot of issues with that and how it came about and how it could've been done better and I'm not wording them very well, so I'm just going to shut up. Basically, Josh/Amy is a disaster and they would be at each other's throats for at least half of their relationship, but it's almost healthier in my opinion because it isn't so...codependent.

I LOVE THEM BOTH OKAY. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING.

I'm so, so very glad that you liked this! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
