Ugh. This is fantastic. The two of them and Alex's line about how he knows because they're the same and he didn't want anything like that. These two have such an interesting dynamic.

Wow, this is totally them. Irrevocably. As much as I love the fairy tale that is Derek & Meredith, I always thought that Alex & Meredith made more sense -- and Alex just articulates it here. Awesome.

They do make a strange amount of sense, which is probably helped along by the fact that the writers have never gone there and, well, screwed it up.
