Oh, goodness, that's so sad. Sheldon is so clueless about social interactions and really still very trusting of his friends to give him cues as to what's appropriate.

Yes, I liked this little extra moment, with Penny cluing him in.

Yeah, this story went from simple coda to angst in like .6 seconds last night with that. He does depend on everyone else. And it's kind of sad how wrong those cues can be.

Well, you know, I didn't have as much of a problem with the episode as some -- until last night apparently. I'm just looking at it as a fanfic goldmine at this point. It's the only way that I keep from getting aggravated.
