Shonda misses out on a lot of opportunities, but we all know that. I just hope we get a bone thrown our way before the season's out, lol.

The thing I like about Meredith and Alex is that they do have that kind of friendship that can have that sort of inneundo without them jumping each other. I'm not saying they wouldn't ever circumstantially, since I occassionally ship that, but they are just very comfortable with each other in a sibling way and you just don't see that in opposite sex relationships as much, without that tone of something more over it.

Mark/Callie/Lexie should be awesome, yeah, for sure, but it's never going to be Mer/Izzie/Alex. It's just...old school. I want old school Grey's, lol.

Anyway, I'm so very glad that you liked this! Thanks so much hun!

It's weird, and this is probably the kind of thing that says more about me than it does about them, but their relationship always borders on brother/sister and then romantic.

The point is, they're so perfect for each other that they wouldn't work. (Hey there, tortured relationship. It'd basically involve one of them pushing the other away, and the other being too defensive to hold on tight, if they weren't already pushing them back just as hard.) So their relationship is this weird mix of something more, and COMPLETELY platonic.

And anyways, you always capture that so perfectly. That whole... "Yeah, it could have been more, but it's best that it isn't/wasn't. So here we are." It's the inappropriateness mixed with sentimentality. The fact that no one's going to mention what gets said between the two of them, but it's going to be there regardless.

The whole Meredith with housemates nostalgia is such a lovely theme in itself. The missing the bustle and hectic-ness of a crowd.

Lovely fic ^_^

It's a hard balance for me with these two, honestly, because I do ship them, but I can see both sides of that argument. Granted, in a romantic sense I think they would totally destroy each other, but it's still an interesting dynamic that I enjoy writing. As for the brother/sister thing here, it's probably closer to the show to keep it in the platonic.

I'm really glad you liked this! Thanks for reading and reading!

This was great to read. I really adore the Mer/Alex friendship and it's unfortunate we don't see more of it on screen (I think it's pretty much nonexistent these days). These two connect really well and I love how that shows through the easy flow of the conversation and how comfortable they are with each. Superbly done.

It is nonexistant. I got my hopes up for about ten seconds last Thursday and that went nowhere. I certainly miss them.

I'm glad you liked this! Thanks for reading and reviewing!
