THIS reminds me why I love Grey's Anatomy. Because there are people like you who can turn four words into something so real, and so completely in tune with the characters.

Your Mark is as always, spot on. I love the way he is with Derek, how there is years of life to them, how the history they have works with who you've made them.

And the subtly of them in a relationship or whatever you want to call it, it was so well thought out, so perfect, just there underneath the surface that it doesn't even have to be pointed out, it's just there and we're all very much okay with it.

Your prompt threw me initially -- and yet I came up with this totally weird idea and just...went with it. It wasn't easy, and it wasn't my best, but I definitely gave it a go, and hearing that you liked this makes it all worth it.

I liked this whole scenario how it focused on the one case and the way these two just play off each other and are there for each other. Very nice way to show that. And then of course that last scene which was kind of unexpected in the way you wrote it. I loved this: Derek really is the longest relationship he’s ever had, just not in the same way that people would assume. Which is completely canonically true, even if not in this way. (That we KNOW of.) Hehe.

And I gotta say every freaking time you write Cristina, even when she's barely in a scene like this. It's total perfection.

I absolutely loved this. I've come to adore this pairing and you write them exceptionally.

There’s a part of him that’s slowly getting used to definitions. I like this line so much - it seems a very deflected way of saying something so much more, and so much better for being deflected!

But then the entire fic is subtle, plausible, in character and just really great. Thank you!

Yeah, that line has a lot of meaning there. I think Mark, to a degree, has changed with this whole Lexie thing. And I kind of wanted to reflect that.
