Thank you SO much for this! I love all of your work, especially your Alex, but so much A/I fic has been so, so sad lately and I really needed something positive.

I liked the line about him waiting for the other shoe to drop because even if Izzie lives (and I think and hope she will) this is always going to be hanging over them.

Plus it had a little bit of a sexy part (at least I think that was the reaction that Alex had!) We probably won't see that on the show for awhile so I will take it where I can get it!

I think I needed something positive as well, so it felt like a relief to write this.

The problem with Izzie having cancer at such a young age, in my experience, is that it tends to come back eventually. That's always a strong risk. So he's waiting for that other shoe to drop for good reason.
