Aw that was beautiful. Really sad, but still very sweet. I'm hoping we get a few good Mer/Alex scenes in the upcoming episodes. Their friendship is one of my favorites. Great one shot!

Their friendship has long been my favorite on the show (which is saying something, since I also love Mer/Cristina), and it's always a joy to write it -- no matter how sad.

Alex doesn't like to admit that he needs people, there's a vulnerability there, by admitting that, and we all know Alex isn't someone who likes to let his guard down. But he's always been able to do that with Meredith, and that's why I love these two.

Stephanie! You know what a fan I am of your writing, especially when is comes to Alex and Mer's friendship. I loved it. I can only hope we'll see some scenes like this on Grey's. However I'm not holding my breath!

It is a good thing:) Unless of course you were trying for Happy!Happy!Joy!Joy! type of responces. Then you might be going the wrong way ;)
