Very beautiful imagery. I like this perspective on their characters.

I love you, I love you. You write Ellen so care free. I mean, as serious as things got last ep she seemed so... calm. I love her. And I love that you wrote this because of my silly thoughts on the ep, hehe. You are my fic-writing hero!

You get into Sam's head -- and it's so interesting. She lets out a sigh, and he watches the muscles in her midsection contract. Very often, Sam finds himself mesmerized by things like mechanics, be it bodies and how they’re put together or the bindings of the heavy books on the shelf in his house or the clock that hangs on his wall...

Really the contrasting images are so great here. Are they human or are they just everyday creations?

Did I mention you are awesome?

Ellen was about ten kinds of calm and in control, which was interesting because she was very much not. She intrigues me. I was really ashamed to admit I liked her early on, but I'm not so much anymore.

As for Sam -- I don't have a clue how I even manage to write anything with him. I'm relatively clueless regarding him because, really, I haven't seen all that much of him. But I tried and I rewatched the episode for this so thank you.

And hey, you're awesome for giving me the idea -- and this awesome review. Thanks so much hun!

Unconventional pairings are like chocolate to me. I really loved this. I like that Sam is fascinated by and disenchanted by mechanics and the way things work. He hates that everything in his world was created unnaturally. Yet, he can write music, which would not exist if it were not created by him, making it created by an unnatural thing.

It's a cycle he won't ever be able to escape. It will be the constant of his whole existence. It's funny that it troubles him so much, seeing as how life itself had to be created by something, and what makes those origins any more or less natural than his own?

Hee, they are to me as well. I for one have fallen in love with this pairing (I think this is my fourth fic with them -- go figure).

I like playing with, and contrasting, natural versus unnatural, and the definitions of those words. These past few episodes everything that was once black and white in Season 1 has turned varying shades of gray and it has really made me stop and think. I think that's where a lot of this came from.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! Thanks for reading and reviewing!
