OMG, I adore you! Do you know that? Did I ever tell you? Because I really really do! You know these character so well and you write them so perfectly. I hope Callie on the show will find that confidence soon as well, because she really needs it back.
What touched me the most were Callie's thought about how she changed from the bold and fearless person she was into the insecure and upset somebody. Ok, Callie always had been somewhat insecure (with her feelings for George and all) but she lived in the freaking basement and danced in her underwear. She was so hardcore and I love her for it. I have to admit with all the things Callie did and went through I almost forgot that Callie person and I realize how much I miss her.

This story gives me lots of hope though, that she will return someday. If not on the show, than at least in fic-land somewhere. Some day.

Aw, thank you! You're too sweet! Callie has changed a lot from that girl who danced in her underwear, and I miss that Callie, not that I don't love this one too. I just think that with everything that's happened, with George and then with Erica, that she kind of lost a part of herself, and I'd really love to see her get that back.

Callie is definitely the kind of person who can be okay with herself without being in a relationship (until the writers completely screwed with her character, that is), so I really liked that you ended this with her going home alone. It was a little bit of optimism at the end of something somewhat angsty.

I liked how Lexie waiting for Mark to show up completely paralleled Meredith waiting for Derek back in season two (looking up every time the bell rang, etc). I'm glad he showed up, I was worried for a moment... Mark and Lexie's relationship does have a lot of similarities to Derek and Meredith's, but I'm hoping that in the show Mark breaks away and "shows up", metaphorically speaking. Him and Lexie are too cute for it to end because he couldn't find the balls to tell his best friend about them.

I was going to end it with her and Arizona...and then I decided that maybe this needed to be less about Callie in a relationship and more about Callie as a person. She's been missing something for awhile now, and I'd love to see her get it back.

That parallel was definitely intentional, so i'm glad you noticed. There are a lot of similarities but Mark's not an idiot, he'll tell Derek. Eventually.

Friendship fic!! And Callie fic too.

Although I have to admit this had parallels to Derek breaking up with his wife, although apparently Mark is a little brighter then his best friend. Although you might have meant to do that. Its kinda the thing with this show. I like Mark alot better then Derek, always have actually.

And I managed to make it through a Greys fic without seeing Alex/Izzie in any way.:)
