It's so awesome that you write these two, cuz the more you write them the more I love 'em! lol
And you write Sam so perfectly, his thoughts and feelings just seem so spot on.
I really love this line especially:

Instead it feels like another facet of the old, another ‘been there, done that’ on this godsdamn planet, and he wonders if everything just loses its spark when you’re this worn down.

It's a so depressing but it feels so true in his case.
This is very chilling, in the best way :D

I think the more I write them the more I like them too. Funny how that works. I was really nervous about this -- I'm still not entirely familiar with Sam, at least it doesn't feel like it, so writing him freaks me out just a bit. But I had fun, and you liked it and that's what matters right?
