He doesn't seem to pick up on things, no. And its impossible not to love George. Sometimes I don't like him, but I still love him sometimes.

I like the thought, but somehow I can't see it lasting. Lexie needs a George or a Finn. Not so much a Mark or Alex.

I could definitely see this concept playing out on the show. I thought I was going to be a diehard George/Lexie shipper, but now I'm pretty much begging for Mark/Lexie.

Great fic. You really made me fee for George here. I have to admit, however, that though he and Lexie make better sense on paper, I find the Mark/Lexie onscreen dynamic much more interesting right now. Mark has this twinkle in his eye whenever he's around her and I love that he can tease her for her naivete and admire her for her pluck at the same time. Actually, they both have a really playful quality which makes them incredibly easy to watch (and is good for lightening up the show, imo). I never thought Lexie would work with a ladies man, but I'm finding that I am already more intrigued by her and Mark than I ever was by her and Alex (though JC has MAD chemistry with everyone, including CL- perhaps the obsessive A/I love was clouding my judgement there? Lol

George/Lexie is probably the safe bet, in that I think it will happen and I think it will probably work out for the best. However Mark/Lexie is something different, something we haven't seen, and that's what makes it more interesting atm.
