I really liked this, even though it was kind of depressing. I hope things won't turn out this way, but the way I saw the flash forward was that it was Cristina's fantasy, and I think you did a great job with that. I think it may be Christina's destiny to end up with nobody but Meredith, and it could be Meredith's if she can't figure out how to be in a relationship. I do love the idea that they are each other's soulmates, even if I don't want things to turn out like this on the show.

I saw it as her fantasy too, but I also saw it as a realistic one and couldn't help but jump on the opportunity. They are each other's soulmates, in a weird way, and I kind of love that.

I ketp reading this just so you know because YOU wrote it. I was a little depressed seeing Cris and Mer end up together.

But I'm believing Derek and Meredith will get there.

After the premiere, I actually wondered how somebody could approach this idea without it being overbearingly long. This nailed it! Kind of depressing, but hey, apparently none of the GA characters can ever be truly happy forever (from what we've seen so far, at least).

Loved it! :D

Oh, and even though I'm not 100% sure if it was intentional, the "we aren’t characters on television” gave me a laugh.

I'm depressing by nature -- I just seemed to have strayed away from that (thank goodness) but this is my return. Probably won't be for long.

I didn't want to make it long, I definitely wanted it to jump around a bit. Otherwise it would be just too time consuming for the writer and the reader, and probably not very interesting.

And yes, that line was intentional. Things like that always are with me.

nice! i was actually thinking about this happening. that this particular scene was shonda hinting on something. but i want to believe mer and der are gonna make it.

but this story is beautiful. love the friendship of mer and christina.
