I was all excited when I read the summary already, and this was beyond expectations. I love Meredith and Lexie bonding, and I love that Meredith starts to get how alike they really are. 'Cause Meredith wouldn't have said "Didn't look like it", either.

They do strike me as a lot of like -- no matter how much Meredith might want to deny that. And you're right, she wouldn't have said that, and most people would've.

Meredith and Lexie have the same strange combination of uncertainty that leads into fierce determination, and you've captured that perfectly here. I adore this.
“I know you were.” Lexie replies, which is surprising to say the least, because she expected her to say something along the lines of ‘didn’t look like it’. It isn’t what she needs to hear right now, which is probably why Lexie avoided it. “Just wanted to make sure you knew that.”

AHH! I love this! Meredith-Lexie bonding is always awesome and this story is nothing short of perfect. Extremely in-character and realistic. I hope something similar to this plays out during the next season; Lexie and Meredith really need to work through their issues.

On another note, I just started back to school, so I'm very stressed...but this story pretty much just made my entire day :)
