Back on the matter, this was just perfect. The first thing was such a Boone thing to do, I could totally picture him. You got such a vivid scene there!+
Me, he wants to say, I miss you, but at some point that stopped being enough for her so he just tells her, “We’re grownups now, Shannon, stop acting like a kid.”
The door shuts in his face. It becomes painfully clear right then and there that this isn’t the same girl he used to know.
Ha. Boone and Shannon in two lines. Shannon's voice was also wonderful and the ending with my favorite scene of that whole episode? I got teary. This was really good and I so totally loved it. *sigh*

I was definitely trying to be very visual with the first part, create a hook, so to say, and draw the reader in, so I'm glad you thought it worked.

I think at the beginning they were just friends. But clearly that went south very quickly, so really I guess it's just...adding to canon.

I love this line. It's just so Boone - he loves her, and he wishes he doesn't.
I also love the idea of them dancing at their parents wedding.
