The description of the eyes was fabulous. What made it even cooler, at least to me, was thinking about the attention to/close-ups of eyes on the actual show.

Although it makes me feel a little ill just thinking about it, what is stated/implied about Aaron seems to make sense, and I like the way it was revealed.

Off to read the next part! :)

That's exactly where I was going with the eyes.

I'm glad you thought what I did with Aaron at least made sense. I was worried people would think I was horrible person or something but truth be told, besides being a major catalyst for this, he didn't really serve a purpose in my initial idea for this.

Yeah, Kevin...he would. That's all I have to say.

And yes, he's gone. I don't do well with kids in fic, and he was the catalyst for this whole thing.

I guess Aaron's being dead seems stranger than it normally would since I was just writing him, half an hour ago, as a healthy four-and-a-half year old. ;)

He was the catalyst for this? Do you mean thinking about what Claire would be like if he died, post-rescue?

Yeah, pretty much. Her post island with Aaron would be different than without him. She'd be a little less tied down IMO.

I love how Claire befriends Kevin, coincidences like that always intrigue me. And strangely enough, I could actually see Claire and Kevin liking each other very much if they met. Her conversation with Juliet was interesting and devastating to find out what happened to Aaron. No wonder Claire feels so lost. Love this story!

I think Claire and Kevin would like each other, now that I think about it. I actually was just going to have her meet up with him in this part but then I remembered him and Juliet were in pretty much the same place and voila!

You've got Kevin's voice and behavior down to a T, and your Claire is a winner. So sad about Aaron, but something which is quite plausible. And poor Juliet - always carrying the stigma of being a former Other...
