I miss her A LOT, so it's nice to know that I'm not alone. She is someone who is seriously different from who she was in her youth, hence the very far gone comment.

Shannon was such a complex character and she was really coming into her own when she died which SUCKED. This was a lovely insight into her however - I love the line you quoted in your summary. Beautiful.

They tend to do that. Make characters more interesting right before they die. It's supposed to up the amount of sympathy you have for them, up the drama, but it just ends up making you feel cheated. They did it with Shannon, with Boone, with Charlie. It's a Catch-22.

I'm glad you thought it was good insight though. I haven't written Shannon in awhile - I miss her.
