Great fic, with such a fitting title. and hey, you made me like jack/kate! Maybe because it was more about Jack caring -which is such a primal instinct for him, and I love him for that- than their supposed "love story". the last scene, Jack in the car, being there until she needs him and then going away was great.
As for Sawyer, I found so sad that he was in prison... Why didn't Widmore try to mess with his trial too? Or maybe it was Sawyer, with his self-destructive attitude, the one to refuse the deal? (Sorry, I couldn't help it... my brain came up with these tales!)
Thank you! I try to pay a lot of attention to my titles, and I put a lot of thought into this one.
I honestly, regardless of the fact that I am a Jater, am not one of those people who focuses on people's love stories. I don't think that life and relationships are about romances and happily ever afters, so you won't be seeing that in my writing.
As for Sawyer, you're not necessarily too far off on him refusing the deal ;)
This was really great, very vividly written. I could picture every bit of it. I think you captured Kate really well and I liked Jack's elusive presence that made her feel not quite so alone.
Thank you! I never feel comfortable with the way I describe things (I'm much more comfortable with dialogue) so it's nice to hear you could picture it.
