I HATE Spinoffs

Is Dwight Schrute about to have his own TV series? That’s the buzz at NBC, where new head of programming Ben Silverman could be thinking about a spin-off from the hit sitcom "The Office."

Silverman is the man who brought "The Office" to NBC from its original Ricky Gervais premise in the U.K., so the notion of a spin-off isn’t that far-fetched.

If I was happy it would have an exclaimation point. Eeeeeehhh is like a groan, only more depressed. In a 'here we go again' way.

My problem is that they make spin offs, and they are ok for a year or two and then when the old show finishs off they mess up the spin-off.

The only show to do this and make it work was Angel (Spike) and they canceled the show. >.< Don't get me started on Addison's spin off (doesn't sound interesting at all), or the current fiasco known as The Great Carter Debate. Which you probably already saw me ranting on.

Angel worked marvelously. But I trusted Joss Whedon more than I will ever trust any other writer, and for good reason.

Addison spinoff = le suck (but you already knew that). And yes I did see the rant, lol.

The problem with Addison being spinned off is that she was barely in Grey's before she's leaving again. Had it been one of the main characters who had been there since the beginning, it might of worked, or perhaps no one involved like with Stargate. They used none of the original characters, just used the universe and had 2 of the original characters show up for the first episode to push it off and it is wonderful (well, who knows about season four).
