I'm lost

I enjoy a good plot as much as any other Slytherin.

But I don't understand what is to be gained from all these mysterious lost, not lost, just locked up thank you, don't trip on the chains and whips, incidents.

If anyone has any information on these disappearances, please Owl 1-800-Point Please?

You are right. The entire thing seems pointless. Pointless and harrowing on those such as Draco and myself who had the misfortune of Tart and Weasley.
