For the first time since I was a wee girl I curled up on my Nanny's lap. To the rest of the world it probably would have seemed foolish or creepy to see a 32 year old freak intertwined on a bed with and 84 year old lady, but with my head resting upon her chest, it just felt right. That's a very sweet post, reminds me of the relationships with that side of my family that I couldn't have, the granny I doted on as a kid but disliked more as I grew older, when I heard what she used to do to my dad (whom I don't speak to either any more).

You are a great writer and have the jolly fun sort of life I'd like to have but find difficult. I have the mind, but not the look. I think.

Anyway, a twitchy 32 year old with tourette's takes his leave!

My grandmother died last month and she lives all the way across the country so I never got to be there, much less spontaneously. Any moment you have is good, especially with your family, and so you get to be silly and you shouldn't worry about anything. I like reading your journal because you're definitely not boring and seem very nice. :-)
