(OH YEAH, I killed my first Revenant on Normal. I read something about having a couple of ranged attackers and really stuck to that and took him down! There's a couple more that I wasn't comfortable going casual on but wasn't able to confront on normal but now I feel pretty confident. I mean, they level with you, right ( Read more... )

I love that Community episode. So good!

I really like the Deep Roads. Orzammar not so much, because it's just so big and filled with too many quests. It takes ages to pick them all up, and then once you return from the Deep Roads - it takes almost as long to run around and make sure you turn them all in.

My first time I destroyed the Anvil. Second time I sided with Branka. I think there's still one ending for that quest that I haven't seen. I was also really annoyed that Oghren insisted he come along. I never really got him until I played Awakening, and then I just fell in love with him.

The broodmother is sooo creepy. I mean, on its own as a boss, it's kind of silly, but with all the lore and everything to go along with, it's creepy as fuck.

You must be about ready for the Landsmeet? You're getting close to the end!

OK so you can see a version of that Community moment but also like Buffy because of fighting as well? I always loved those pauses where everyone's confused because of something actually funny.

I used to hate that episode because I HATED those kids so much, and I hated how futile they made me feel with my hate. They were untouchable. And they still won if the chyrons at the end mean anything and we at least know that Britta got her used ipod nano, so....... argh!

Yeah I can definitely see that. Some of the dialogue has a Buffy feel to it. David Gaider's influence, I believe. XD
I think there are some actual references to the show scattered throughout the plot too.

the goofy sarcasm of Alistair and the pointed sarcasm of Morrigan are defo a touch whedony.
I mean, you can't have fighting monsters and magic without even mistaken refs, right?

I just wish I could convey how funny that moment was to me! the three of them looking at Jarvia like....um...ok....

Anyway.

First day, they come and catch everyone.
Second day, they beat us and eat some for meat.
Third day, the men are all gnawed on again.
Fourth day, we wait and fear for our fate.
Fifth day, they return and it's another girl's turn.
Sixth day, her screams we hear in our dreams.
Seventh day, she grew as in her mouth they spew.
Eighth day, we hate it as she is violated.
Ninth day, she grins and devours her kin.
Now she does feast, as she's become the beast.
Now you lay and wait, for their screams will haunt you in your dreams.

While I was playing the game for the first time, I stumbled across an image of the broodmother on the wiki. I didn't think it was real, I thought someone had uploaded something stupid. I was so very wrong.

That stuff was pretty creepy but then I also kept thinking of the outtake with "Balthazar"'s bath opening up and him going "And those are my legs"

I don't know why it's in b/w
