Welcome to 3,000 words of nothingness.

Had a great time over the holiday, hanging with the fam mostly. Of all my trips home, I spent the most time at home this time. And I finally got to spend more quality time with the niece.

Went to the sales on Friday morning. Got some neat stuff, but didn't go overboard, though I did buy The Boph a video camera, ( Read more... )

My power steering fluid was low and I lost a couple of times. I remember fighting my way down Hillsborough St without power steering. The whole time I prayed no one would step off the sidewalk because I wouldn't be able to swerve around them without tearing up my elbow ligaments.

I love getting the guy who works out of his own garage and doesn't rape your wallet. That's a pretty quick turn around for a house job, too.

Yea, I guess it technically wasn't a house job, since it really was a legitimate business, he just uses his own property. He had business cards, took credit cards, and printed out my receipt on the computer.

Sophia is actually currently on the intertron. I've been meaning to link it in the journal. She's over at blogspot, and if you like my writing, believe me when I tell you that she's even better. She writes a lot more big picture stuff, like sociopolitical topics, not just what she did today. Bookmark it, you'll love it. Her post from November 12 is one of the best things I've read in a LONG time, a spot on breakdown of young american muslims.
