I'm kind of like the lapsed Christian who only goes to church on Christmas and Easter; usually I only get excited about playoffs or the Olympics, though I love live hockey. I'm a Rangers fan, by birth.

If two people (regardless of gender) are happy, and want to get married... why stop them?
And, really, Canada has had same sex marriage for 8 years now... Aside from the Conservatives regaining a Majority Government this last election, nothing bad's happened to them. ;)
Iowa... gay marriage for a few years now... nothing bad happened... aside from Terry Brandstad. ;)
As for Uptown Hockey... yeah, personal tweets on a business twitter account is not something that is wise, regardless of the opinion.

I actually get his tweets sent to my phone, and that's how I first found out about it. I wondered why he had tweeted about supporting gay marriage, looked at @NortonSports' tweets, and the rest is history. FTR, I was surprised he even touched the issue.

Yep. He's an a-hole. Did you read the post Justin Bourne had in his own blog? He called out one of Elliotte Friedman's 30 Thoughts (and I do love his 30 Thoughts normally).
Argh, and I forgot to add--it's unconfirmed, but someone mentioned it had been Justin Bourne's It's time to end the use of gay slurs in hockey article that inspired Brendan Burke to come out in the first place, apparently?
