Is it crazy that I still correlate punctuation in online forums as reflective of how people speak?

because when i read a sentence that has no punctuation marks and it's really long i just think that they said the whole thing without taking a breath

We have a millimeter wave screening system in development here at my company , which performs better than backscatter xray. It can be pretty revealing. I think it's in testing with the TSA now. One of our VP's gave a demonstration of the device one day and realized too late that the software which "blurs" the image wasn't turned on...lol. Sadly it wasn't a VP that anyone would have wanted to see nekkid.
