Dumb Office 2007 search

I like the new search feature in Office 2007... well mostly.

What really irks me is that the Search feature appears to work only for complete words.  For example, if I'm searching for the word "sunglasses," I must enter the complete word "sunglasses" to find it.  (I can't use a portion of the word, such as "sun" or "glass" or "glasses.")

Have you tried using the wildcard character ("*") in your search strings?

I have Windows Vista, and the search is built-in to the OS. It's essentially the same thing.

I didn't know about that keyboard shortcut... that's good to know!

I gave it a shot... it didn't find the item I was looking for, curiously... but it did return about 50 other items, of various types.

*sigh*

OK, WEIRD!

I just tried doing a search in my tasks for "sun," and it found "sunglasses." But I did a search for "glass," and it turned-up nothing!!!

I've used it... it had some good features, but I actually like the Microsoft search a little better...
