On Tues evening, I had to move lilies inside b/c of apartment painting. Soon after heard Spicer vomiting, discovered it had a lily leaf in it. I googled "are lilies poisonous to cats". Yes. Yes they are. No cure, they can only try to dilute. Covered lillies with old shower curtain and tablecloth, stuffed Spicer into carrier, and sped to emergency

Cats will chew on anything, plants arent the only things.. sigh.

Spicer seems to have come through without incident. His tests were normal--for him, which still means some of his results are off-kitler. :P Anyway, he's home now, no more catheter, no more Cone of Shame, so he's happy again. C:

My lilies are always outside on my balcony, safely away from my indoor-only cats. I had to bring them inside because of the stupid exterior painting. X| They're back out there, now. And if I ever DO have to bring them in again, I'll be taking all sorts of anti-cat precautions! I don't want a repeat of this at all.
Spicer-kitty and I might not be so lucky, if there is a next time. T.T
