Okay, so it's been forever since we've done this and I know for a fact that Route is filled with amazing writers. Not to mention this stuff is just good for creativity. That being said...

Teddie walks in feeling confident. He'd read a whole chapter of that one book under Yosuke's futon--he hadn't been too sure of the title, of course, but from the content and the pictures he'd assumed it to be something akin to ladies and you.
With the knowledge from that one chapter of that one book, Teddie walks in feeling confident. There is little to break his stride--even when he knocks over the Junes display of toilet papers in an attempt to reach the kind lady at the meat counter. He feels the distant pull of scoring, in the distance, and the rolling mess around him is only a backdrop to the beauty that he is sure he will achieve.
Unfortunately, Yosuke is good at puncturing dreams. It's only when Teddie's being dragged away by the collar of his shirt that he allows himself a bit of panic. Smoothtalk your way out of the situation! You have to score, you bear

The very first second he'd arrived in the world, there had been a panic welling from deep inside of him, reflected only in the tiniest widening of his eyes as he was summarily shoved out the door by his new 'mother'. Thoughts raced, sweat beaded; no no no this was wrong all wrong he wasn't supposed to be here where was here who was guarding the Seal from Erebus if he was here the world was going to end it was going to end--
It had taken an hour before he'd calmed down enough to speak. There had been a reason his first communique had been so late in his first day. The surprise of the world not ending on its own had been almost too much to endure.
Rocks weren't supposed to live. Dogs weren't supposed to spit fire. Giant snakes weren't supposed to be transportation vehicles. Ghosts, most of all, weren't supposed to be goofy funsters under his command.
Minato could handle gods living in his head, whispering advice in friendship and romance. Minato could handle a gigantic tower, soaring up like a giant middle finger to his tiny, human struggles. Minato could handle said tower being filled with inhuman monsters, and him with his friends the only barrier between them and the complete destruction of the world. Minato could even handle that moment of floating up into the sky, knowing his fate and accepting it without reservation.
