Character
Name. Journal, Series: Maes Hughes | FullMetal Alchemist | eliciadaddy
Location Goldenrod, still; occasionally he makes it out onto Route 34 to train
Info: BEST DADDY IN THE WORLD. He was head of the Investigations Division of the military back home, loving father to an adorable little 3 year old and adoring husband to the most beautiful woman in the world (you'll hear all about them, too. Since he loves to rave about them. AND SHOVE THEIR PICTURES IN YOUR FACE. Sorry, you can't escape it. Not that you'd want to, because, THEY'RE AWESOME.) He's very friendly and easy-going, and also can be prone to spouting very wise advice. Also, he is Team Rocket, even though he's not too pleased about it.
Plans: Um... he's new. So, I don't have any plans for him yet. I'M ALL FOR EVERYTHING ( ... )

If he doesn't like TR, m-maybe he should meet Gorthan? Gorthan just joined TR's science division, and has Team Rocket-y and yet surprisingly non-evil tasks to assign to people. Like "catch me a bunch of Rattatas".

He's pretending to be okay with TR, but not really trying very hard at being a good TR member xD Right now, he's just working on gathering more information on TR and secretly relating them back to Roy...

But yes! o/ I think a meeting between them would be interesting!

Oh geez, a spy. ;A;

Also, Gorthan would be genuinely interested in hearing about Hughes' family. He likes stories. ^^;

So, having fought in the war with Kimblee, and having seen all of the horrible things that Kimblee has done, Maes has, naturally, formed a not-so-pleasant opinion of the man. He's a realist, so he recognizes that war happens, and that people die during it. He, himself, does not feel a huge amount of guilt for the lives that he took in the war; though, it can be argued that his role in the war wasn't nearly as great as the roles of alchemists like Kimblee, Armstrong, and Mustang, and since he was more defense, he didn't actually have as much of an influence on the deaths that happened during the war. Even still, like Kimblee, he understands that, by fighting in this war, deaths were going to happen. However, he was left a little uncomfortable with how blatantly excited about these deaths Kimblee was, and how many innocent lives were lost at Kimblee's hands, without so much as a blink from Kimblee himself.

Then, he came here, and actually had a conversation with Kimblee, which is something he didn't do back during the war. He started ( ... )

Hughes' thoughts on "Victor"?

Since nobody's told him anything about homunculus actually existing, and Maes never took the time to find out more details about how and by whose hand he died, he has no reason to be looking at anyone as any sort of threat.

"Victor" has been quite nice to Maes thus far. He thinks that Victor's a little rough around the edges, but a relatively nice, normal person. It is entirely possible for Victor to get all up in there and become fairly decent friends with Maes... >_>

They're both in Goldenrod, they're both proud daddies and they'll both talk about their children and wives... Why haven't the Other Father and Maes met yet? |D

You will have all his threads~

Maes doesn't know Archer, and he's a little skeptical about that whole, "there are two different versions of Amestris" thing. But then again, he's suddenly found himself in some random world that's filled with really weird chimera things called Pokemon, so, Maes isn't sure what to think.

He's a little weirded out by the fact that someone claims to have worked for him, but he doesn't know a thing about the guy. But he doesn't have a reason to distrust Archer. He knows that everyone who's worked under him in his version of Amestris like him; they might get annoyed with him occasionally, but he's got a pretty good relationship with all of them. It's a fairly smallish team (in my headcanon anyways; my brain tells me that even though they didn't know each other really well or were close, his immediate team, at least, tended to work fairly close with him on cases and at least respected each other, even if they weren't really good friends.) So he can only assume that it was the same way in the other version. ( ... )
