What's good in kansas?
Dorothy isn't really there and you certaintly won't be making it to oz. Find a better place than that and then I'll be convinced you won't be coming back

have you been there? do you know what's not good and what's good about it? because i don't. and everyone else who has said "kansas sucks" or "why kansas" hasn't seen it ever either.

I can only assume that wichita kansas has a lot of farms. A lot of hillbillies. A lot of creepo church people and a lot of priests who have touching problems.
None of this sounds like a place I want my coco owno to go to

i never was one to live my life based on assumptions. it has gotten me in some shit in the past, but i've also had a lot of good come from it. i will never know if i don't find out myself. i love you and appreciate your concern for my wellbeing. but i will be with good people.

I could've sworn you've been writing this same sort of shit for years now but i may be mistaken. In any event, your problems and misery wont stay in syracuse. They will follow you to... kansas? Hahahahaha. I've been in the navy 3 years now, lived in four different states and seen quite a bit of the world and the only thing i can tell you is that real healing is done internally. Your location in the world is irrelevant.

But you still have to learn that so good luck in kansas.

It wont solve a thing.

Johnny D

I always value your input no matter how seldom you leave it :D

My original intention on this post was lost in a lot of beer and a lot of anger. I have been writing shit similar to this for quite some time. In fact, I think I started this journal just to bitch about moving out of Syracuse. Either way, I'm moving not to escape anything here other than the same old scenery and the same old places. I want to see other boring places in this country I live in. No matter how much I want my location to change things, I do know it has no bearing on any of that. I've learned from my short stint in the Air Force and from living in Mississippi and Alabama that shit is all the same it just looks different. I'm all about outward appearances taking advantage of my perceptions for a while. I don't know why I felt I needed to explain anything, but there it is. Take what you will from it and stay in touch man.

You might try seeing non-boring places in this country.

I'm just saying, moving from one landlocked small city to another landlocked small city isnt very smart. Move to the shore. Either one.

I have friends here from kansas, it blows.

And you should have stuck it out in the air force, youd probably be getting out in a few years, have a bunch of money saved, GI bill, and whatever else goodies.

You're right as far as sticking with the Air Force goes. I should have, but there were a lot of things going on back here that I thought I needed to come home for. There are days where I'm glad I did what I did, but there are also just as many days where I wish I hadn't just hopped out when I had the chance to ( ... )
