Woohoo, it's Happy Shrift Day! In celebration, I shall now reenact a Bavarian racing hare dancing upon a den of boars.
OR.
Perhaps I shall just give Shrift the hugs and twirls she deserves, and a little bit of fic. Thank you Shrift, for making fandom a better place.

OMG!!
I am full of exclamation points for this story. Especially:
like maybe he was thinking about math
Fraser is obviously always thinking about the factorial N!!!!!

When that happened, Fraser’s eyes always looked like they had expanded somehow; made what had been hollow full, all the empty spaces piled in layers of blue and grey.
Mmm. Beautiful.

Also, I find it amazing that you saw Ray in his jeans and black jacket -- because wow, did I not ever say anything about his clothing, but -- damn. Yes. That's exactly how I had him in my mind, and I suppose it's because that's what he wears a lot, but still. You know, this has me thinking, because I very rarely describe my character's clothing, except in vague terms, and it's easy for Fraser, cause he's usually in uniform -- but. ... does this have a point? I don't know! Stay tuned!
In the meantime, OMG how much do I love your feedback? You and Zira are the pros at it, and it makes me grin and squeal every damn time. And yeah, RayK and Fraser should alwaysalwaysalways play in the snow, and no, this comment has not gone on forever because I am not currently tipsy. Oh no, not at all.

This!
The first time Fraser’d pulled out the eyerolls and the winking, Ray had wondered for one horrifying moment if something about him made it obvious. That maybe there was something on his forehead blinking LOOK AT ME! I AM GAY! I AM SO VERY GAY!
[dies] So Ray. Yes. And I heart the whole bit about the "intent" and then the "nonverbal communication", but this is my favoritest bit in the entire story:
Ray’d looked up at him, stared ahead into the mirror and watched as Fraser’s face bloomed open, his smile wide and unrestrained, and his eyes -
- his eyes had been dark. So very dark and clouded and then in an instant had turned clear, clearer than anything Ray’d ever seen; like calmest lake he could imagine, nothing but a bright sun overhead, small waves lapping against the bank.
Because oh my god. THEY ARE SO IN LOVE.
Also: bickering. I heart bickering very muchly. And romping in the snow. This story makes me so happy.
