I don't think that Rorschach is really meant to be a role model, per se, unless you're into the like-Rush-Limbaugh-but-even-more-wacky crowd.

Personally I just though that was the best written part of the book. It's not so much of an endorsement as it is merely meant to share a fine piece of writing. Rorschach comes across, to me at least, as a morally ambiguous character as I think the writers intended him to be.
