As much as I hate Fred Phelps, this just makes me so proud to be from Fairport.

Yes, other districts (even around Rochester) have administration that not only discourages but will not allow GSA's... it's sad. :(

I wonder what Mr. Paddock is thinking.

I would imagine he's disgusted and horrified that this guy wants to turn these girls' deaths into a totally unrelated political issue, but still proud that his teachers and students have been amazing enough to raise FP's ire.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of impressed that Fairport High attracted Fred Phelps' attention.

The thing to remember about Fred Phelps is that while what he does is vile and rightly cause for outrage, his "ministry" consists of about 80 people, 60 of whom are related to him. They get a lot of attention but are really a very small group of nutjobs.

This guy is ridiculous. There's no reason to protest at the funerals of five girls that had absolutely nothing to even do with LGBT. I really strongly dislike ignorant little pricks.

I can't wait for him to burn in hell for being such an evil prick.

God would never want something like this and would be absolutely ashamed that this was happening in his name.

I'm way up in Maine and this made me so angry. Actually, I ranted on air for a few minutes about it. I've decided that when he dies, I plan on donating lots of money to gay rights groups in his honor. :-D

I am Christian (Lutheran) and I fully support gay marriage/gay rights. God calls us to love. not hate. not judge. if you read original text, there is nothing actually against homosexually. too bad phelps is a moron. Lets protest him. :P
