I think that you just need to take chances and not be afraid of what people say. If you worry about what other people say, then you are just living by what they say. Yes, it does hurt when others talk shit about you, but that's just their opinion- they are not you! You can't be afraid of life *life aphobic* (as you called ME!!) You just need to take the chance to be in this relationship. You sound really happy and I think that you're doing what you want and that you need to take the chance to find things out.
