Well, it was all rather anticlimactic by the time I officially got the offer and all on Friday, but I did get the job and am now spending a somewhat sleepless night before my last shift at the store. I start the new job on August 2, giving me my first extended period of time off since last August

Any job can be made bearable (or nearly bearable) when working with good people - but a new, better job is wonderful. Congrats!
